In October 2017, the committee was given the following assignment:

The task of the Strategic Planning Committee is to identify the biggest strengths and greatest assets of the class and develop strategies for leveraging, supporting and encouraging them and to identify the largest challenges and weaknesses and develop strategies to mitigate or correct them:

• The Strategic Planning Committee will prepare an S.W.O.T. analysis of the IODWCA, its structure and the Class, as a whole.

• The Strategic Planning Committee will develop a set of strategies for leveraging strengths, maximizing opportunities, mitigating weaknesses of the IODWCA and present these findings to the Executive Committee.
